Too often we associate Risk Management with Compliance, Insurance or “Trying to stop things going wrong”.

Love My Church aims to help free Australian churches to think ‘mission first’ and then manage uncertainties – not the other way around. We exist to reshape the conversation around risk management in churches by providing practical, cost-effective tools to help churches achieve their mission and objectives.

The official Australian Standards definition of Risk Management is “managing the effect of uncertainty on your objectives”.  So risk management starts with your objectives, your vision, your goals and your calling.  It recognises that in order to achieve this calling, you must take risks.  Risk management then is simply the process of considering the uncertainties that might attach to achieving your calling, and intentionally managing them.
